220 Swift Load Data Help

I am shooting a 220 swift, and getting ready to reload for it. I already have a bunch of IMR 4064 and 55 gr Blitzkings to start with. Does anyone have the Sierra load data showing min and max loads with estimated velocities? If someone has it, I would appreciate the help. Thanks!

Sierra's mannual says 34.0gr min. 38.gr max. That's with Imr 4064. It's a great powder for the 220swift. My second choice would be RL15. Those #s are 34.0grs min to 37.9grs max. Again that is for the 55gr. out of the newest Sierra book. I have alway's found sierra's data on the low side, but good info for a starting point.

Like Jo191145 said Hodgdon website is another great place for info!

With your IMR-4064 I would start at 37.0 and go from there. I am shooting 39.0 in my 40X Swift with 27.5 inch barrel and getting 3900 fps with Nosler 55BT. I read somewhere and proved that 37 grains will get you 3700fps and so on. I tried RL-15 in my Swifts and couldn't make it work. But my go to "pushing the envelope" powder is H414 which I have used for years. Vihtavouri N-150 is another good powder.

Theres another thread here about RL-17 in a Swift, which I want to test in the next few weeks.

The venerable Swift is my all time favorite critter getter, and will run with almost anything accuracy wise. I am planning another Swift build this winter I love em so much. :)

+1 on RL15. I use 40.0 gr of RL15 under the Sierra 55 gr spbt, COAL 2.800. Chronos at 3725 fps. Keep the load below max for longer barrel life. My fav coyote load.

Prints 2 1/2 inch high at 100 metres, 2 1/2 high at 200 and 2 1/2 low at 300.

This is in a Rem 700 VSSF with a long throat. Compare my COAL to the Sierra manual`s 2.680. Don`t use my load in a rifle with a shorter throat. It`s difficult to ask guys for their pet loads when there is no info on throat length.

Went to my club`s 300 metre (330 yd) bench range yesterday and put three shots into 15/16 inch at 300 metres (.28 moa) as shown below.
