That’s what it originally came from.I believe the 6mm Lee Navy if I remember right
yep. The swift has been dying slowly for many years it seemsThat’s what it originally came from.
Good luck finding that!
I used to have one before the brass got aggravating to find. Not long ago I thought I was researching on here and came across it could be formed from x cartridge but it would be rimless. No feeding issues. Thinking about a future build if that mystery brass was obtainable.Ya, the longer I think on this the more I think its a no...I was thinking of making 6mm Rem from 7mm mauser.
Are you looking for a rimless 220 Swift case for a specific reason? Bolt face issue? ?? Curiosity has bitten me.
Yes, understood.I used to have one before the brass got aggravating to find. Not long ago I thought I was researching on here and came across it could be formed from x cartridge but it would be rimless. No feeding issues. Thinking about a future build if that mystery brass was obtainable.
I acquired D Frakers Ruger #1 Varmint 220 Swift last year. I don’t think it was ever fired. Fixed that and was pleasantly surprised as I had heard some were fickle in the accuracy department, this ain’t one of them.My first Prairie Dog trip in 1999 included my first rifle dedicated to the task. Ruger M77 MKII 220 Swift. Love the gun but haven't shot it in a while but won't sell it or the brass. Been taking 17's and 222's instead but any post about the Swift will always get my attention. A quick search just now found some 220 brass. https://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item/002858615h/220-swift-primed-rifle-brass-100-count
Don't know if that is your 1st Swift or not but they are amazing. Mine is the Varmint/Target model. Still a beautiful gun just haven't been taking it to MT.I acquired D Frakers Ruger #1 Varmint 220 Swift last year. I don’t think it was ever fired.
