I'm just getting into 22 rimfire benchrest shooting. Where is the best place to buy 50 round boxes of 22 for testing and then be able to buy bulk of what tested best with corresponding lot numbers To what I tested? Thanks in advance guys.

For Eley ammo (Tenex, Match, & Team), Killough Shooting Sports has what you'd be looking for - www.killoughshootingsports.com

If I'm not mistaken, if you send your bbl'd action to the Lapua test center in Mesa, Az, and have them test for an ideal lot, they'll then give you discounted pricing on a quantity purchase of that lot #. Don't believe you're buying the quantity purchase from them, but through them, and they have current inventory levels of the lots they use to test with, so know where to go to get it.

If you go the 50 round box route, go 100 rounds. It is going to take anywhere from 5 to 15 foulers after each cleaning to get the barrel fouled properly.

Also, if it is hot as hell where you are, do not order anything where a waxed coating is going to "melt" waiting on your porch for delivery. Don't ask me how I know.

With Killoughs i believe you have to contract for a case of the tenex that shot the best ....
At Lapua the same applies ....

Good Shooting Inc has "test lot" bricks of Center X and Midas + available. They consist of 2 boxes each of 5 different lots. They told me they keep enough of each test lot in stock if you find one your rifle likes. They might have Eley available the same way I don't know cause I've only bought Lapua from them.

Fast shipping to. I ordered a couple bricks this past Monday (Labor Day) and received them today.

I bought x-act that way from them but it was a couple years ago. Great place to deal with.

Killoughs - you are not required to buy a case of ammo. They charge for the testing of different lots and will provide a report of the results. It is your choice to buy any of those lots and as much as you want. If you buy a case the range testing fee is waived. I had this done last year and was worth it for me. Saved a lot of time and money. Price out 15 to 20 boxes of ammo, range time for testing will never have 2 days alike or conditions, how many partial boxes will be left over. My opinion it saved me time and money in long run.

At Killough’s you have to buy a minimum of a half case if you are going to buy some from test center.
