22 LR threaded X pinned barrel

There is any advantage one over another in accuracy? Are all Annies pinnned or just the lower price models?

The custom 22 LR actions (Baitys, Stillers, Hall...) are threaded barrels?

Just curious to know...

Lots of pages about this method vs the other but bottom line is there are incredibly accurate rifles done every day using press fit, threaded and glued....

so, IMHO, there is (Very) little difference in the results from any of the methods....

Worrying about which one to use is just mental masturbation.

All Annies are pinned except for the 2013 which is clamped.

Threaded is far more convenient when it comes time to rebbl and here is the reason why. Sometimes the chambering job isn't up to snuff or maybe the new bbl has something internal that just keeps it from being competitive. With a threaded rec you just unscrew the bbl and either rechamber or otherwise tinker with it and put it back on to see if you have made it competitive.

With a pinned bbl or a Loctited bbl you have an issue. I have Loctited a couple and there are situations where I will do this in the future. But if you have to remove the bbl for whatever reason you are faced with heating the rec up hot enough [ 400 to 500F or more ] to loosen the Loctite. I don't mind 250 or so but heating up the rec double that doesn't seem smart to me.
