22 GT Dies?

Going to have a .22 GT barrel spun up and need dies. Using Alpha OCD brass. I understand for sizing, that any 6 GT bushing type die with a .249 bushing will work fine, but what is everyone using for a seater? I talked to RCBS this AM, thinking I could use one of their Matchmaster seaters with a .22 seating stem, but they won't sell me a .22 seating stem separately. I see GA Precision has the Hornady dies for .22 GT. I had a set of Hornady dies years ago and didn't really care for them, but perhaps they are better now? The whidden Simple Seater is another option. Anybody have any experience with those? Micron Precision or Short Action Custom would be nice, but ouch! What options do you guys recommend?

Thanks,

John

I run 90atips in my 22gt. I use just as you're saying, rcbs matchmaster fl bushing die with a 249 bushing. For seating, I tried a Horandy seater with the 88eldm stem and their die design isnt the best, the snap ring that holds the sliding sleeve into the die body would regularly catch the sleeve and lock up the die when attempting to seat. Remedy......buy a SAC "The seating die" I use it from 308 to 22 gt, works for anything br to 308 and in between. Comes with 2 stems, one for 22-6.5mm, other for larger bullets.

Ended up getting the 6GT RCBS Matchmaster set with a Redding TiN .249 bushing. Pulled the seating stem out and looked at how it fit on an 88gr ELD-M and it seems to be fine. Won’t know more until I load some ammo.
