'22 Grendal' questions

Well, I was reading on this forum about another topic and I read somewhere that somebody had made themsleves a "22 Grendal" AR.

I'm interested in finding out all I van about it. I can't find what post/topic I was on though...

Thanks!

if i am correct, a 22 grendel would be a 220 PPC.....no? the 6.5 grendel is based on the 7.62x39 russian round, which spurted a necked down 220 PPC compitition round.,22x39) same case as the more knowen 6 MM PPC,6PPC-USA) you can get barrel chambered in 6 mm ppc, as they have been done in the AR-15 plateform. i have a barrel in 6ppc that i might turn into an AR barrel. just need to buy a 7.62x39 bolt, and put it on a upper. done.

the one thing with AR's is that the 7.62x39 has a problem with feeding, due to case tapper, and magazine straightness. and with the ppc's using that case, might give one problems. but there are also a lot of guys that have had no feeding problems at all. so, i wouldnt let it stop you.

hope this helps, brian

A 22 Grendel is like a stretch limo version of a 22 PPC - a bit more powder capacity and "horsepower". I make and sell the 6mmAR which is the 6mm version of a 6.5 Grendel. Attached is a picture showing it next to a 6PPC and a 223 Rem. As far as feeding, the 6mmAR feeds great so I believe the "22 Grendel" would as well. Factory magazines are available,I sell plenty of them). The feeding issue the 6PPC has is related to its short body, the 6mmAR does not have such an issue.
