22 Dasher build questions

Planning a 22 Dasher build, have all the pieces except for a reamer. Specs of build will be an 8 twist HV barrel finished @ 28 inch, BR style stock and a Nesika action. Only want to use 75 grain bullets specifically 75 A-Max. Rifle will be used out to 600 yards. It will fill the niche between my .223 AI and 8 twist Swift both shooting 75 A-Max.

Looking for recommendation's on freebore, chamber length, and neck diameter. Don't mind turning necks at all. If anyone has a copy of a reamer print that would be great also. Have been searching here on site and PM'ing a few members and have come up with a .248 chamber for turned necks and anywhere from .078 to .100 for freebore. I feel .100 is too much for 75 class bullets? What blow length's are you getting?

Frank

.100 freebore is perfect for 75 grain V-Max's with a .020" jam.
1.570" chamber length.
1.560-1.565" blow lengths using false shoulder method.
.254 for a no-turn, .248 for a cleanup

Thanks everyone for replies. So what I am seeing here is the blow lengths are longer using virgin brass than a 6 Dasher blow length? Thus chamber length has to be longer?

Frank

Frank,,,the diff. is due to the ctg being necked down to .22 cal,,,they grow when necked down and shorten when necked up,,,the Dasher shortens because you are "Ackleyizing" and making a 40 deg. shoulder, both of which needs metal flow to acomplish the task,,,Roger

Roger, again thanks for the reply and great explanation! What would be best method to fireform using virgin blue box 6BR brass? I am wanting to turn the necks for a .248 chamber.
