22 250 AI freebore

Howdy !
My wildcat .22-35 has case capacity a tad < .22-250AI.
I shot my wildcat .22-35 in a K & P 28" SS 1-8 5-groove. I used 75 "A"-Max exclusively, for both paper and varmint.
Neck wall thickness I used ( my reamers by Clymer ) was 10/thousandths. I went thinner on the neck' walls, when I re-barrelled to
the 1-8. This, after the original Hart 24" SS 1-14 5-groove had a chamber set-up for case necks 13/thousandths thick.
Can't give you an exact figure for the " freebore", which I left to the reamer maker'/riflesmith' discretion; in both instances.
I will say w/ the 1-8 barrel, I was runnin' the 75's boatails beneath the neck/shoulder junction ( wildcat has a .250" lg neck, 26* shoulder angle ). My most-accrurate load was 75 "A"-Max over 40.5gr AA3100, and Fed LR Match; for 3,420fps. Not the fastest load.... the most accurate ( field ) load. This load would be good for a clean-kill on "soybeanus digestus " @ 1,000; given.... a good hit.
You very well may not want to run a cartridge w/ the bullet's set so deep !
