22 Dasher build maybe ?

Have you considered a 6 Dasher?

Same velocity with 105's with a better BC and barrel life.

Now I'm getting that special feeling, you guys know what I mean. That feeling of money leaving your bank account !!!!! Ok, 22 BRA, starting with .100fb, may have to go out further....Do I go with 22 br dies? Or are there specific 22 bra dies? You all have reaffirmed my statements that the people on this forum really are the best, you give your time and expertise and share load info, pictures and specs on bbl's and reamer's. Thank you all, keep the advice, bbl, load info and pics coming....rsbhunter

You'll want more Freebore. 0.100fb had too much bullet in the case eating up capacity

Thinking .130 fb? I still don't know what to do for shoulder bump die? Isn't the shoulder angle different on the br Ackley? Looked at dies, but don't see anything specific for bra.? Thanks, rsbhunter

I run Short Action Customs sizing and seating dies

The easy button would be to stick to the 22 Dasher and use your 6 Dasher dies if you are using bushing dies.

I know sac makes quality stuff, but at my age , I'm not spending $350 on one die. I'm not shooting championship matches, and prize money isn't more than $10.00 , so it might be advantageous to look into the br or 22 dasher...rsbhunter

Here a L.E. Wilson 6bra full length bushing sizing die. Just throw in the right 22 bushing and you're ready to roll. I have a few of these dies and they are very nice. They accept Redding bushings as well

1 in stock

Padom, THANK YOU ! It dawned on me about 30 seconds before I read your post. It had honestly escaped me to look for a 6mm brx bushing die....I am going to order one now, the bushing I'll order after I get a fire formed case and can get neck o.d. #'s..Thank you again for taking the time to re-educate me. rsbhunter

My 22BR was able to push the 85.5 to 3200 fps with RL-17. 3050fps is more reasonable with more normal powders. I have had no luck with the 85.5. 80VLD, 90VLD, and the 90 SMK have been fantastic.

What were your seating depth relative to the lands for the 90 vld and 90 SMK?

padom, thanks again for the info...I did order the Wilson die from Graf's last night. I will order a Forster 22 micro adjust 22 seating stem to use in my Forster 6mm Dasher seating die and bushing when I get the bbl. Had thought alot going with one of the others (22 br or Dasher) but it seems that the brai will do all I need...I really am indebt to all who responded to all of my questions, and were nice enough to respond...Thank you all.....rsbhunter

And we're all D@&$ good at it....I, know at least 5 guy's local that now own Sightron SIII scopes and 6 Dasher or 6 br's because of me !!!! 3 months from now, they will have 22 BRA'S ! Thanks again everyone , it's going to be a fun ride....rsbhunter

I need to go dig up my notes to get you an exact number on the 90VLD because it’s been a while, it was jammed pretty far, perhaps 0.012”?

The 90SMK is my favorite and has been shooting better than anything else and I am jamming those about .007”
