22 CM long action?

Have any of yall done a 22 cm on a long action? If so how did it feed?
I have a possible action to build off of and was wondering it there were any issues with long action on a short action caliber.

Thanks

The case will pop out of the mag and just lay on top as you push it in the chamber. You may can make it work with controlled round feed but i wouldnt bet on it for anything but bench work. Single shot would be fine

Maybe one of Wyatt's center feed mag boxes setups may work for you. I'd put a call in to Kevin Wyatt w/Wyatt's Outdoors and talk to him about your situation. Kevin makes all kinds of different center feed mag boxes and he'd know if one of them would work for your application. I've talked to Kevin numerous times over the years, he's a good guy and won't BS you.

It'll largely depend on what long action you're planning to use.

If you're talking about a 700 action, then you would be well advised to wait for the correct action for your project. Dustys right about the feed rails loosing control of the case is a long action. The 700's feed rails were designed around cases like the 22-250 and 243 which have more taper than the cases that are popular today. The larger diameter at the shoulder of todays cases leads to feeding issues. Especially in the large cases like the .22 CM. You might want to consider a M5 bottom metal and AICS mag setup. That's what I use in the 2 rifles that I have in .22 CM. A little adjusting on the mag lips and they feed like butter.
