22 BR?

I had some questions on the 22 BR. With 90grn bullets, would h4350 work with success? My dad wants a good 600 yard gun with little recoil. We already have a good amount of h4350 already. Also, how will the recoil compare to a 24" 6.5x47 shooting 130s vs. a 22br shooting 90grn. This would be an f-open gun so it will be around 20lbs.

Josh,

I have two 6brs in F/Open config that my daughters shoot, one rifle weighs 18# & the other 21.5#. No Appreciable Recoil noted..... For what its worth the weight makes all the diff in the world.. I run 107 SMKs at 2850...

I will say 4350 is a great powder in the 22br,with heavy bulls. I used it in my 22 dasher i was able to push the 90's with 3100, but the avialibility of components will lead to diff mixtures. I went back to the 6mm they seam easier to tune.If you can try some RL.15 or RL.17 My 22 dasher loved 80vld and 34gr rl.17 at 3300 fps all the way out to 1000yds.But we still cant find much out there that will beat the 105 hyb in a 6mm. good luck

I am running 31.1 grs of H4350 with the Berger 90VLD's, velocity is close to 3100 fps. Accurracy is what i can hold the rifle at 600 yards.
