22 br brass

I just bought a 2nd 22 br and it has a .243 neck so i am going to have to turn the necks, My question is will anyone ever start making 22 br brass in bulk? will i have to hunt 6br brass forever? thnaks greg

That IS a super tight neck...I thought my .246 was tight. I intend to have the neck reamed out to about .251 though as the case prep, neck turning etc I don't think is justified. I doubt they will start making 22br brass anytime soon but could be wrong.

ream it! my tight neck 22 BR requires neck turning the brown box lapua and i did so on two separate occasions and neck tension varied and i had to sort brass and monitor neck tension...a pita. new 22 BR .252 neck and blue box lapua and NICE! bring down neck in two stages and shoot! this chamber is shorter so i have to watch case length and trim accordingly.

so you think I should get a neck reamer in .250 Where is it best place to buy or rent a reamer thanks greg

thanks for the help. On the advise from Dave at PTG I ordered a .252 reamer for the action so when it comes I will make a run to my gunsmith ot the Colorado school of trades to get the chamber reamed out Greg
