22-6mm Imp Data/Info

I'm just about ready to start loading for my 22-6mm Imp. I want to shoot sierra's 60gr HP. I'm just looking for any info or impute on the round n data, just something to get me started on the right foot.

Howdy !

Your .22-6mm Improved would have even greater case capacity, than my wildcat .22-35.

As a consesquence, I'd suspect your powder choices ( burn rates ) would be slower than I4350.
In fact, AA3100 and slower might give you best accuracy ( while perhaps not the fastest vel ).

I wouldn't recommend the 500 series of V.V. powders ( e.g VV560 ), since they do best with heaviest
bullets in the calibre selected; and you are talkin' 60s.

I DO believe you should give the LR Mag primers a try, especially FED LR Magnum Match.

Hodgdon 4831 and Berger 70 VLDs worked best in mine. Very accurate and 3,644 FPS.

I shoot a 22-6mm, not the AI, but have had good luck with AA 870 and Mag Pro. The best groups come from H-870, if you can find it any more, but the velocity is down to 3,200 fps with the 80 gr. Sierra. H-100 is another good powder you might want to try.
