best powders for a 6mm 22-250

Got my new 6mm 22-250 today and im ready to start loading.I was told varget and 4007ssc but i cant find any data on the imr.I will be shooting 80gr up to 100gr bullets.

I'm using 36.5gr of Varget with the Berger 80gr FB Varmint seated .010 in the lands. Average velocity around 3,370.

A fellow that I shoot against now and then had one of these about 5 or 6 years ago. His was a 9 twist barrel and 28"+ long. He used naked 80gr & 95gr bullets as I recall, and H414 and IMR4350 depending upon which bullet he was shooting. The rifle shot impressively. Not sure why he sold it, but he did. WD

Superperformance by Hogdgon, I was told by a tech, has a rather narrow application with light bullets in the 6mm Rem and similar. He didn't think it was appropriate for the .240 Wby, I was asking about. I'm getting a pound to try in my 6mm Rem (actually a .244 40XB with 12 twist) and may try it in my new 22-204 with 75 gr. bullets. I was told that Hogdgon has around 48 different powder blends used in high performance ctgs. from .222 thru .458 Lott. They have released only a few to the public. Superperformance may work in your new 6mm round, especially if you shoot some light bullets.

In my experience, I found that H414 worked very well with the lighter bullets. For the heavies H4350 is your friend.
