22-35 wildcat

Yes, very close indeed. I think I could use load data for 225 Winchester to work up some loads. Also, I thought that the 22 Nosler load data was very close too.
Thanks to all for replies. If any more Information on C.C. Johnson or the 22-35 is available, please don't hesitate on further responses. All very interesting.

25-35 Winchester brass has been made infrequently in the last few years.
Probably a lot easier forming cases from 25-35 brass than 30-30 brass.

here’s two sites that indicate they have it in stock

DickE, I’m looking forward to seeing how your rifle groups when you get it shootin

Will do. Next I want to check the twist rate and borescope the barrel. It came with an ample supply of brass, fireformed.

Love this 225 win "handgun¨ set up for prairie dogs used in a couple comps shoots great 8T 80 SMKs

I use 25-35 brass for my 219 Zipper.40 grain V-Max bullets with Varget turn about 3600 and will usually stay in the 1/2 MOA range. It's a Remington Rolling Block of all things.Has a Hart barrel from back in the mid 50's.Absolutely the most ugly rifle anybody could imagine.I like to take it to the local range when some of the locals are there and put on gloves and a paintball mask and tell them they might want to stand back a little because it blew up on me a couple of weeks ago and this will be the first time I've shot it since I got the cracks welded up.Hilariously good fun!Talk about getting some strange looks! That's a great vintage outfit the OP has.

Update: Barrel inspection with Hawkeye after a rigorous cleaning showed no throat erosion, but some pitting from lack of maintenance, no Krieger or Bartlein but far from a Savage. Checked twist, 1-14" as expected.
Test fired with an old 8lb can of IMR4064 that also came with rifle. Velocities with 50 gr. V-Max were all over the place, chrono'ed from low of 3575 fps to 3705 fps over 4 five shoot groups. Best 5 shot group .712" at 100 yds. Will have to try another powder. Water capacity of neck sized brass was 39.4 to 40.0 gr. Puts it in at 225 Winchester capacity.
