I'm building a new Coyote rifle I have a Krieger 12 twist barrel for the rifle going on a a stiller Predator. Anyone with experience with this twist, please let me know what is the heaviest bullet you were able to stabilize. Please don't tell me I need another twist, I already have the barrel unless someone wild like to trade me a new faster twist Krieger!! Just tell me about bullets. Thanks JVON

55gr nosler ballistic tip- you should be able to run them around 3800fps fairly easy in the 12 twist. Noslers are a great bullet and the solid base has better penetration than vmax of blitzkings.

With a 12" twist, you will be able to shoot any of the 53 - 55 grain plastic tipped bullets, but nothing longer.

I have a Hart 13 twist 22-250 which I push 55sbk 3725 out of a 26 in bbl. shoots bug holes.

the 12 should allow bullets slightly longer base to tip up into the 60gr range. the key is oal bullet length, base to tip, ojive and bullet shape are important in determining length as is the plastic tip.

the longer the bullet the more twist it needs, take a 55sbk measure its oal, compare to others and gradually work up in length and you will find the point to stop in bullet length/weight as you test these longer bullets.

Was able to shoot some 62 or 63 gr??? Sierras with a 1/12. That was it. Got rid of that barrel for a 1/8. Shoots it all.
