22-250 to 22-250AI

Since you mentioned this will be a fairly low round count rifle pass on the AI version and the 22 CM and step on over to the dark side and go 22-243 Improved. My 22-243 improved is the 35° shoulder version with a Krieger 8tw barrel and I'm launching 80gr ELD-M's 3650 and it stacks them in a very tight little group. I don't know if any of the lighter bullets would survive the trip with my 8tw though.

IF, you want to SEE, the "Splodies" with, a .22-250 Rem., in an 8 to 9 Pound, Walking Varmint, BRAKED, Rifle, Use,.. 50 gr V-Maxes, 52 gr A-Maxes/ Bergers or, 53 gr. V-Maxes ( 12-14 Twist ), Pushed at, NO More than,... 3,600 FPS !
And,.. Set Scope for,. 18-20 Power, Max.
IMO,.. There's No need for, the Ai Version,.. Except to, cut down on,.. "Trimming" cases.
H-4895, IMR 4895, H-380 and Varget, are "Good", Powder choices in the .22-250 for, the sub 55 grain bullets.
Size the Case with, a Minimum of shoulder "Set Back" for, Best Accuracy in, the old 250 !
There's NO need to spend, a Lot of Money on Expensive Bullets to, Shoot PD's and Sage Rats !!!

This one - 22-250AI - weighs 12lbs with brake and an 8-32 scope. Used 32x a lot of the time, 50BT@4225 and the thing never moves when fired, just a bare quiver to say it's been shot....32x is very usable and not too much. Nice to have when it's just a head sticking up from the hole, or seeing an eyeball between a couple rocks.
