22-250 Case Stretch

Hello,

One of my least favorite tasks involoving handloading is case trimming. My 22-250, even with milder loads requires case trimming after every second firing. This is with Winchester brass.

I have considered having it rechambered to 22-250 AI to help with stretch issues but was wondering if the Lapua brass resists stretching more.

Thanks for any advice.

The Lapua brass won't stop it from growing, it may help a little but the AI version sure will put the brakes on it....
RCBS made a X die that solved the problem last I knew, you might want to check that out for what it's worth...
I like the AI part better.....

+1 for the ackley improved,I did it this year, what a difference. You didnt state what gun it will be on , but if it is a savage like mine ,you have to deburr the reciever mostly on the right side, due to the case being almost a perfect fit going through the reciever ring.If you dont know how have someone reputable do it for you, then the brass wont get ripped up by the sharp corners that do not come into contact with the parent case.Hope this helps.
