22-250 AICS Magazine

I found a Magpul 700 Hunter stock on clearance so I bought it. Anybody know if the 308 magazine will work with 22 250?

It should work, perhaps they need a small tweak. I run 6xc in them. Sometimes I fireform out of 22-250 and they feed with no problem but the case is slightly modified.
I would try it first and then just push the feed lips in a tiny amount to start, try it and adjust from there. Make some dummy rounds to test.

The 308 mag should work with .22-250, but you'll only be able to fit 6-7 rounds in the mag before the taper screws with you. Just my experience with .22-250 in 10 and 12 round .308-size AICS mags.

This is my first 700 with a detachable magazine. Will a metal AICS mag work with a Magpul polymer bottom metal? Thanks for your replies.

No, it will not! I've been searching for the same application (AICS compatible mags in Rem 22-250) and these are the only things I have found - MDT (Modular Driven Technologies) makes a metal mag that sells for $79 each and Legacy Outdoors makes a polymer mag that sells for $59 each. I already have a couple of Legacy mags in .308 and I tried the 22-250 cartridge but it did NOT work consistently. I'll probably go with the MDT mags because the spring in the Legacy mags feel too weak to work reliably. Hope that helps.
