He has said a while ago that he had shot 70 groundhogs so far so I would be surprised if he only hunts one farm. You have a beautiful place to hunt and shoot! Just be selective in your shots and don't shoot it out. Have fun!!

You're the man for sure, fine shooting first run tomorrow with the 17 hornet.
You will really enjoy that 17 Hornet! You're the man for sure, fine shooting first run tomorrow with the 17 hornet.
No its not the same cartridge. 22-204 has more boiler room than a Standard 222 mag case. Do not load 22-204 loads in your 222 mag.Would that 22-204 pretty much be a 222 Rem Mag? Have one that I need work-up a load for, not much data out there for XBR.
It never ends does it AWS? I don't know how many times it takes to post the pics and yet still the same question. Hard to imagine.Think of the 22-204 as the wildcat 222 Rem Mag IMPROVED 30°. Not the same
If it were me loading for a 222 Rem Mag with a modern powder I'd start with data for a 223 and work up from there as there is usually only a half grain difference between them with published data for shared older powders.
It's not even close...show me any load data for a 222 Mag that runs a 53gr bullet at 3750fps...it won't even get close.Would that 22-204 pretty much be a 222 Rem Mag? Have one that I need work-up a load for, not much data out there for XBR.
No my 20 TAC can never be replaced! Its hard to beat for what i do. The 22-204 is still a nice round and is getting 22-250 speeds with less powder and stellar accuracySo you going to replace your 20 tac yet?? So many choices Lol
I need to import a few breeding pairs into my area. Haven't had any for about the last 5 years now.
Pretty consistent across the board...fantastic velocity and accuracy. What is your freebore?I am shooting the same speed and accuracy as GAnderson and Hillbilly, 8208 with 55's at 3720 on a 26" barrel, very short freebore. Accuracy is simply unbelievable to say the least.
I am going to do a 6/204 next.
