That’s correct, the Valkyrie is very close to the Wasp.I just read online where a guy said the 224 Valkyrie is basically a rimless 219DW. Does that sound correct to you? Lots of data for 224 Valkyrie with heavier bullets and different powders out there. I know to start low and work up don't have a clue about the Valkyrie but like the different powder options.
Nitemann, consider looking for Federal 30 American brass, it’s small primer 30-30 brass. Hasn’t been made for several years but I found 200 on this site. I’ve used it in my 14 twist Wasp with 52 bullets, groups were a bit tighter with the small primer.I had a contender rifle barrel built in 219 Donaldson Wasp with a 9 twist to let me try the heavier bullets. Does anyone have any load data for the 68-70 grain bullets. Hornady goes to 60gr which is the heaviest i've been able to find.
