21 Sharp Is it a Lemon

I will just stick with my PCP air rifles, thank you.
Good plan. Almost as good as mine with underlever and sidelever spring guns, lol. No reloading, almost no cleaning, no powder ot air supply needed. Just cock it. 5 shot groups at 25 yds less than .1.

I have a FWB 124 that is great with no wind, like in a barn shooting pigeons and starlings but get it outside and the wind controls those pellets.

I have a .25 caliber pcp that will put 5, 10, 20 pellets in the same hole, not cutting the hole, the same hole, at 25 yards. Wind is always a factor with pellets but on a calm day, it’ll shoot 1/2” at 85 yards. (Length of my backyard range). 25gr pellet moving about 850fps and I get 140 like that with one fill. It’s rough, really rough on pigeons! :) My favorite rifle!

I just don’t see the value/need for the 21 sharp and I don’t think it will be around very long.

I have and use a 450BM. Yes PCPs are amazingly accurate but if I want complicated and lots of gear I shoot my centerfire Benchrest rifles. I like just a gun and pellets. 5 shot groups in the zeros at 25 yards. I would love to shoot my D54 indoors to 100 yards. I have shoot back to back 1.5 inch groups with it at 100 but it must be dead calm. Some of the groups PCPs shoot now at 100 would not put them behind all the shooters at a 100yd powder burner match .

As far as this new "hottee" , I was around when the 5mm came about & I wanted it BAD ! The folks that had the
sports store that our family supported talked me out of it & sold me the .22 magnum. I have great respect for the Mag but, I think if the 5mm was picked up by more ammo companies & the round was chambered in more
rifle brands it may have done better. It was/is a good round. I believe if the 17hmr case was bumped up to .20 caliber with the same shoulder & good bullets, it would be a great thing. Cost is still on the .22 side right now, and it's just a tough thing for folks in lead free areas. OH and I do love my PCP Airguns also! They get much more use than any powder burners these last few years. I won't be grabbing a .21 Sharp as it doesn't do much for me. If the Sharp was set up in ANY other guns than the one everyone has reviewed it might have a chance to show it's stuff ( a TC Contender , a Ruger American,or 10/22 for example ).
