I wonder if somebody could make a Rem M5 center feed mag box with a 3D printer for the 20VT

Going to look for a Howa mini (223) tomorrow-
Curiosity getting to me… I’ll take couple dummy to see if they cycle out of a 223 mag, if so.. I’ll be bringing the CZ527 some company….

I am sure they could. 3D printing should open up a world of options. Somebody needs to get on it! Lol. I need to stop reading about this cool little round as it's gonna cost me.

I got the GS, asked to see the 223 mini they had on hand…
I carried 3 dummy bullet seated rds to check the feed from mag on the mini-

Uhh, I don’t see it, computer shows it..
I handled a 300aac. mini action, while he looked,
Stuffing the mag, removed the FP ( since it is easy to do) , slowy cycled the rds from the mag to the chamber hole, never missed a beat-
So I asked for a cleaning rod.. just in case it stuck in the chamber…

I cycled the bolt fast as I could, it still feed- case did stick in the chamber…
So it came home with me .. $549….

Looking into the box, a Nikko sterling pic rail was in the box, 10rd mag included..
Now I had to measure couple things- bolt dia= .515” … CZ 527 bolt dia .510”
Mini bolt length back shroud to BF = 6”
CZ bolt length back shroud to BF = 6”

I like the M16 extractor over the Mauser claw-
I love the ejection button over the fixed CZ ejector-
I can always cut coil off to get it to put brass where I want them to go..

More later as I dig deeper

The mini is a great action. I have one in a mdt and buddy has one with elf owl. Mine is a 6bra and his is a 6fatrat and a 22 fatrat. The jard is the way to go, way better than timney in the mini.

Well, you have confirmed what I have seen said on here by those that know third hand, that it will feed. Thank you for that! I was planning on a stock for mine because I was going to get the Jefferson outdoors conversation, but now I may look into a chassis. What barrel did you go with for this?
