.20PPC

I would like to hear from anyone who has shot .20PPC for awhile regarding barrel life. Anyone on a second barrel (0r more). I'm anxiously awaiting a Lilja 9 twist. Planning to use 40 and 50 grain bullets. What kind of barrel life can I expect? I'd also be intersted in what bushings are used to neck down in maybe three steps from .22 Russian. What powders and loads work well?

Don't heat it up and you'll have about 2K barrel life. I only shot 32s and 40s and all were very accurate out to 700yds. I would advise a .237" neck. Adam

As to the forming, one bushing, .232 or so, from 220 Russian. Also I would look into the 20Beggs, it's a straight 220R necked to 20cal, with a 35gr Berger you can hit 4200fps without issue. ADam

Do as AB advised I have 900 rouns on mine with no sign of throat erosion.220 Russian straight to 204 I used a .232 bushing (I have a .235 Neck)

This is my 5th winter season shooting coyotes with a 20PPC SAKO AI single shot rebarreled with PacNor 1:12 that shoots Berger 40's with N133 @ 3750 fps
I must have well over 1000 rounds...I'm sure its good for 2000 rounds at least, maybe more !
