20/250......you will not have much barrel life, especially in high volume shooting situations.

20/222 or 20 Practical with H335 or Blue dot is where the best barrel life will be found.

Another vote for the 20 Practical, CHEAP brass vs BR brass. I ran 600 rounds through mine on a hotter than hades summer pd hunt in texas in two days. I'm north of 2000 rounds and it still shoots 1/2 moa and every clay bird at 500 meters. If you have the time, money and don't give a rat's posterior about barrel life, go with the 20BR.

If you got a 223 boltface already 20 Prac.
If you have a 308 boltface and want a hot rod 20 since you probably have BR brass the 20 BRAI.

The fact you already have a 1-11 twist barrel I would definitely go with the 20 practical.
barrel life will last much longer and you're not giving up a whole lot as far as ballistics go.
If you had said you already had a 1-9 twist barrel where you could shoot the heavier bullets then the BR would be a better choice.

I assembled a new upper in 20 practical(1/10 twist) this was going to be mainly a coyote hunting rig with night vision. But after shooting it suppressed for the first time, I can't wait to go on another pd shoot. 8.5# with suppressor and scope and I see very little movement of reticle when shooting. I haven't formed my own brass yet, been using some of the 300 I purchased prepped to 20 practical, mixed lc head stamped brass. Still shoots very well, I won't bother looking for the brass in the snow this winter coyote hunting.

20 practical is the way l plan on going. Greg Gardner seems to be a popular gunsmith on this site. Does anyone have 1st hand knowledge of his barrel work?

I need another rifle(don't we all) to p.d. hunt with, l got a great deal on a Kreiger 204 1-11 twist 1.25 diameter barrel. I own a 6br and a 22br so l have everything need to reload. A 20br is pushing 220 swift velocity. Is this the best way to go?

I have a XP100 in 11 twist 20 Vartarg , I really like it is one of my favorites . But I also have a Bat SV specialty pistol 9 twist 20 BR . And like this one a lot when I want to shoot the Berger 55 grainers . I don’t think you can go wrong with either of these .
