20br and 20bra for pdogs

Theres been a few that have done it to a 1,000 on P.D.
If you run the 55 Berger through there Ballstics calculator what a 55 will do in a 20BRA with a 100 yard sight in its 29-30" of drop at 500 yards pretty impressive.
My experience with the .20 cal 55 gr Berger is it works well for PD's at 700-800 yds (20 BR or .20/250). Past that it starts to pencil badly. To many drag-offs unless one makes a head-shot or breaks bones.

I built a .20/250 which easily made a 1000 yds +, but had the same issue with the 55 gr Berger. Best PD shot with that set-up was 1135 yds. Going to the .22-243 Imp. solved the problem.

It’s like H4350, RL 16, RL 17, IMR4064,

Can’t get enough in case to get above 3400fps w: the 55gr…
The 39/32, 40, 35gr ought shine though!!!

I’ve just dabbled in the light wts..
only using premium jacketed bullets- sierra, J4

Don’t know on amp jacket gravel…

I would be very interested in that load.
My load in my 20 br with 40gr vmax's is 30.5 benchmark, 450 cci primers, lapua brass, 10t kreiger finished at 27" Borden br action. get's just over 4050 fps. I worked up a load with varget and then changed to benchmark because I could see I was going to run out varget.

Would you consider that a pretty mild load?

Oh

Gabe is right, I ran a 46 gr at 4050fps with R15 and it shot extremely well. If he uses a little faster powder I think he will be knocking on 4200.
