208 ELD Match

Anyone put together a good load with the 208 eld in a 308 case? What freebore thinking 200-220.

Anyone put together a good load with the 208 eld in a 308 case? What freebore thinking 200-220.

200-220 freebore should work with the 208 ELD-M. I personally would lean more toward .220 than .200 if I were chambering a barrel just for them. I ran them in a very long freebore chamber (.270 freebore) that was setup to run 215s and 230s. Jumping .030 had the 208 ELD-M with only about 1/4 to 1/3 of the shank being held in the neck. It was really long but worked. The barrel was 31 inches long and I was running 2650 ish velocity with Varget and no pressure signs to speak of. It shot pretty dang well there. I only used this barrel/load in monthly matches but my scores were on par with my other barrels I run Bergers and JLKs in.
