.204 heavy barrel

Heavy barreled varmint 20 takes quite a few rounds to heat up as well, which is a plus when they're a-comin' right at 'ya.

Quite tardy reply to that thread, but my 20VT has a 1.250" STRAIGHT NO TAPER, finished at 24" - 1x10 twist. Can take pics if you are still interested. Cheers

Just my thoughts, but i am building a HV weight varmint rifle in 20 PPC and 6 Dasher, so i can shoot summer and winter. I have a 17 Lbs bag rifle as well, so i can interchange barrels between the both. If you are building a custom rig, just consider bolt face, and future options.

I have the 20 Vartarg, 204, and 20 tactical love all three. My next move is to try to find out how to get them up to the 17 lb. range. I have read about drilling stock and this and that but what is the easiest way to get a 8 lb. gun up to the 15-17 pound weight.
