Your best bet is to run your go to round through a ballistics calculator takes the guesswork out of it.Just an easy question for you guys who are shooting a 204 ruger, 100yd zero what are your drops at 200 and 300 yards ? I checked my drops today and was amazed and a little bit puzzled at the same time. I’m shooting a 39gr bk at 3850. Thanks to those who chime in.
I'm not getting that , i've zeroed at 50 yards and 100 yards and never missed my intended targets, but i'm listening.Zeroing a 204 at 100 yards is kinda pointless.
We all don’t live in the Wild West where you can see for milesZeroing a 204 at 100 yards is kinda pointless.
Not sure what you are saying?I have a dead on zero at 100, .25 up to 200, and was only dialed .75 at 300. Last time I shot at 300 it was 2.25
I’m wondering if .75 of elevation at 300 yards is normal or if I have a possible scope issue. The last time I shot this rifle at 300 yards I had to dial up 2.25 minutes to be on at 300Not sure what you are saying?
Ok, that makes sense. First thing I would do is double check your 100 yd zero. Make sure it is dead on. A small error at 100 will be big at 300 yds. Been there and done that! More than once. It is. Maybe 1/64 high, checked 200 it’s dead on also with only .25 dialed to get thereOk, that makes sense. First thing I would do is double check your 100 yd zero. Make sure it is dead on. A small error at 100 will be big at 300 yds. Been there and done that! More than once. Lol

So close it’s scary. I was being a little sarcastic1/64 Really???
It’s a sightron traditional scope. It’s mounted 1.75” above the bore best I can measure. It’s just hard for me to believe it can be that flat. We was practicing for an upcoming competition getting our 100, 200, and 300 yardages nailed down. What type of sight(traditional scope, digital (thermal, NV) or irons? How high is the sight center above the bore? Is the barrel indexed to 12/6 vertical alignment with sights? Only thing I know, gravity effects all 204R bullets, so there will be a trajectory curve.
I strongly disagree, but I'm a dialer.Zeroing a 204 at 100 yards is kinda pointless.
Your right. I’m not using my reticle to measure. I have my target from last session early summer. I will look at it and double check because I do have it written down what it was for sure and compare to this weekend.I'm presuming you mean .75 and 2.25 measurements are in minutes on your scope dial. At 300 yards .75 minute would be 2 1/4 inches and the 2.25 would be 6 3/4 inches. That's a big difference to me. My rifle would be right in the middle of those 2.
Are you reading off a scale in the reticle? If it's a SFP scope you have to use the same power to get the same results.
.75 sounds more normal. My 16” 223rem only has 3moa of drop at 300yds running 70gr Barnes Hp at 2860 fps.I’m wondering if .75 of elevation at 300 yards is normal or if I have a possible scope issue. The last time I shot this rifle at 300 yards I had to dial up 2.25 minutes to be on at 300
