"1000 Yard Nationals at White Horse Firearms and Outdoor Educational Center!!!

It has been since 2017 that White Horse has hosted the 1000-yard National event and we are looking forward to seeing everyone. A new improvement to the range is a bathroom and shower facility at the 1000 yard range. September 2nd and 3rd are the match dates, the range will be opened September 1st from 10:00-6:00 pm for shooters entered into the match.

Entries for the match will close September at 3:00pm. Entry forms are on the IBS website.

All shooters need to be present on September 2nd to sign in at 08:00 a.m. Match will begin at 09:00 a.m. Dinner will be provided for the shooters Saturday and lunch on Sunday.

There is an area to park campers without hookups and facilities at no additional charge. Hotel rooms can be booked in Buckhannon and Weston, WV.

The Match will begin at 09:00 a.m. both days. Safety briefing will begin at 08:50 a.m. both days. Light guns will be weighed after each relay. Heavy guns will shoot on Saturday and Light guns on Sunday. Rain day will be on Monday the 4th.

Update: 66-70 shooters expected right now, that includes a handful who will register on Friday, so maybe 5 relays of 14 shooters, or 6 relays of 12 etc. If planning to come and haven’t registered yet then feel free to give JC a call or text to let him know at 304-516-1206, that’s helpful for planning. Temperatures look like 60F in AM to a high of 80 or so, no rain, a little wind of course, 6-8mph is what I saw so maybe not too bad. Travel safely everyone.

Relay and bench assignments attached, HG on Sat and LG on Sun, we move over 2 benches between targets, i think 62 shooters total, 5 relays of ~13 shooters, let us know if you see a problem as we were working pretty quickly, lots of time to fix issues before the 8AM safety briefing.
