Great weekend with some awesome guys and girls. Congratulations to all the winners, you guys definitely earned it.
Sam Hall had an amazing day on Saturday shooting LG, only dropping 3 pts the entire day on 8 targets, winning him LG score shooting a 397.
Jason Danley had a stout performance on Saturday as well winning LG group with a 1.754”, in some tricky wind, and probably the worse mirage I’ve seen at Piedmont.
Sam Hall ended up taking the LG overall honors, shooting his 397 score with a 1.814” group agg to back it up.
Sunday was definitely a day for shooting small. This day was ABSOLUTELY OWNED by Curt Knitt. Curt got out the broom and swept HG. He shot a 394 score, only dropping 6 points the entire day, and shot an astonishing 1.490” agg. That’s 8 targets, with an average group size under 1.5”. This is the smallest HG agg ever shot at a Nationals.
After all 16 targets, Andrea Ebbitt took the honors for Top Female shooter. And beat a bunch of the boys too! (Including her husband) haha
With Curt’s dominating performance in HG he was able to squeeze past Sam Hall, and leave Piedmont Gun Club with the top honors of the 2024 IBS 600 Yard TWO GUN OVERALL NATIONAL CHAMPION !!! Curt is truly is one of the best guys in this sport. As humble and kind as anyone you will ever meet. CONGRATULATIONS CURT! You are a class act my friend.
