Oh man..............
Doubtful. Will the Nats be shot on Etargets
I think I'll prefer the 23hr drive vs the 5 it would have been.Great
I go from 2 1/2 hour drive to 24 hours
It's 36½ from here, and that's 36½ at 65mph, not counting stops and sleeps.I think I'll prefer the 23hr drive vs the 5 it would have been.
I hope so....I read this as F-class nationals at Ben Avery in October...seems like the most logical answer.
So, you go from Camp Atterbury with very few restrictions back to Phoenix where you get yelled out and potentially kicked out for standing to close to someone?Great

yay!
I don’t have any insight into how or who runs Fclass Nats but i wound think, the only way Fclass nats gets canceled from Atterbury is if the old folks home at the NRA gets squeamish over the ‘Rona. Not cause if some facility issue with the ‘Rona.
Club matches have been taking place with little issue at Atterbury since mid last year.
I'm pretty sure some of it has to do with NRA being in bankruptcy and money being needed to put on all of the matches. And from what I hear, there is no staff at NRA Competitions anymore to help out. And who wants to stare UP at a target all day long in the pits because a berm was deemed unnecessary? So, you go from Camp Atterbury with very few restrictions back to Phoenix where you get yelled out and potentially kicked out for standing to close to someone?

What I’m saying is, people are speculating on nationals going back to Phoenix.so you want to whine and complain about Phoenix because you couldn’t follow the rules. Hmm. As Ben Avery is state owned, the host club is required to follow all state guidelines or the event could be canceled. Even mid shoot if the state wanted to if they saw any infractions.
Guess people just want to blame someone else besides their self.

The Desert Sharpshooters on the other hand are a well oiled machine and can host the nationals at the best range in the country and do it with a level of expertise rarely found anywhere else.
Peetz is spot on....the mask and gathering thing wasn't their idea. Arizona Game and Fish were the ones pushing it ostensibly to keep from getting sued. Their sandbox, their rules.
See you in Phoenix.
I am sorry did I miss something. Where does it say that if the nationals are held in Phoenix it will be limited to 180 competitors? That is just speculation and incorrect. Please don't spread false information. What I’m saying is, people are speculating on nationals going back to Phoenix.
I get that.
Until it’s canceled at Atterbury I’ll see you there, if it’s canceled, and moved. You won’t see me.
Won’t be the first time looking up at a target with no berm. If you don’t like it, sorry.
Having a “national” level event limited to 180 competitors when 400 are ready to attend just sucks. Again, I realize this is no fault of DSS.
I’m merely stating that having a limited number of people attend nationals isn’t ideal. But not having the event is even less ideal.I am sorry did I miss something. If you are referring to last year, it was either follow the restrictions or don't have the event. The F-Class Nationals last year was the only national event that took place, and trust me it was no easy task. A few people put forth the daunting task of putting the event on for the shooters when they could of taken the easy way out and cancelled the event.
Personally I would like to see the F-Class Nationals held at Atterbury. It is the 150th Anniversary of the NRA and the Nationals should be held together to celebrate the event.

I sure hope your info is wrong, John.Matt,
For whatever it might be worth, I have been told by a source that I trust that the Nationals will go on as scheduled at Atterbury - that's totally unofficial, but from a source that is in a position to know such things.
Hopefully, we will have something to that effect sometime in the next few days -
For whatever it might be worth......

Perhaps we will find out before the end of 2021.I sure hope your info is wrong, John.![]()
