Thank you all for the kind words guys! My wife, Hunter, myself, and the rest of the family really appreciate it! Just like when my two boys got there first Whitetail bucks, I was much more excited for their sucess than I was for myself. I now just get everything ready for the boys to go hunting and just guide them. As enjoyable as it was to see Hunter win Saturday, I dont plan on quitting long-range shooting myself though! Hunter is hooked now! He wants to shoot the whole season next year! This has sparked new life in me! For those of you that dont know, I battled colon cancer in 2016 and 2017. I am cancer free now, thank God. It took me away from doing what I wanted to do with my family. Hunter was my shadow before cancer, we did everything together. While being treated, I had to watch him grow up in front of me while I did not have the strength to get off the couch. It absolutely killed me inside! I have most of my strength back now. The great sport of long range shooting has given Hunter and I something to do together again. We can now bond as father and son as we did before cancer. My job now is to get him a HG going. My 42 pound HG was too big and awkward for him. Hoping one of my sons would take up LR shooting, I kept my 1st HG I had built in 2005. Back when McMillian use to put lead in their stocks, I had a LG stock (ST-1000) filled with lead in the butt. It weighs 28 pounds. It was a standard 6BR, I’ve had it rechambered to 6BR-AI. It had lost its accuracy edge. The re-chamber brought it back to life with more velocity to boot. Hunter shot it Sunday afternoon after the match and loved it. It matched the LG he shot in the match, just weighs more. He loves it. We will see you guys next match at Hawks Ridge, Nov. 3rd. Thanks again guys, Samuel Hall

Congratulations Hunter and to you as well Samuel. Although I haven't had the honor to look in your eyes and shake your hand, it is apparent to me that you truly are a man of great character as I have read on this forum many times from those that do know you. Wishing you and your son many happy days at the range competing together. Good Luck and God Bless.

CONGRATULATIONS YOUNG MAN

You and your Brothers know you have big shoes to fill in the Hall Family but it looks like to us all you are lacing em up pretty good. That's not the easiest place to shoot, as your Dad will tell you and lots of extremely good shooters that have been doing it for a long time, so this is my Friend, a BIG DEAL. You are the future of that sport and I know, no one to do it better that the HALL BOYS!!

Great Shooting

Diane & Bill

"Congratulations to Hunter Hall 2018 LG Group NC State Champion "

Great to see a skilled young shooter succeed. His parents are to be congratulated for supporting him in his efforts. Some would say he had a built in advantage of a great coach but Hunter was the one sending the rounds down range on his own.

Best wishes in your future endeavors.
