Shooters - We will use this thread throughout the 2016 season to communicate all news and updates regarding Mid/Long-Range Prone & F-Class matches at AEDC (Tullahoma, TN) run by MidSouth Marksmen.

Please refrain from starting new threads since this makes it more difficult for the match directors to keep all of the info organized and in one place.

MSM Shooters

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years. We will be having the first MidRange (3x20x600 yard) Match on Jan 16 weather permitting. Registration will begin at 8:00AM Central time and close at 8:30AM Central time.

As long as the sun is shining and the temp is 40 or above you can assume the match is a go. If we have to cancel, you will receive an email the night prior, so pay attention.

This will be a club match and a good time to try new weapons and ammunition. Score will not be reported to the NRA so match fees will be $15 or $10 if you are an active MSM member.

Hope to see you out there and bring a friend/junior or a new shooter. Also be a great time to pay your yearly club membership fee.

Likewise, MSM will be hosting an informal swap meet before the match during the sign-in period. Most people have a few items they are looking to buy or sell this time of year, so bring out what you have and make a few deals with your fellow shooters. Please keep in mind, however, that MSM will not be "policing" these transactions, so it is up to the individual participants to ensure they are complying with all federal, state, and local laws.

I will be there around 0:700 to let the early birds in. Lets hope the long range weather forecast improves. I highly recommend you have your cold weather gear handy. Watch your emails the night prior for updates if needed. If you haven't received a email it means the match is a go and I will be there running it. Attention MSM SHOOTERS


We are changing tomorrows 3x600 match to Sunday. I say again tomorrows (13Feb) 3x600 match will be on
Sunday(14Feb). We had the good fortune of having the XTC folks canceling their match for Sunday, so
we will use that day instead. Trying to take advantage of the better weather forecast. (IE 40 degree
weather). The time line will stay the same, registration starts at 07:30 and closes at 08:30. Please if
you know someone who was attending, Let them know of the change. As always I'll be there at 07:00
to let the early guys in the gate. Hope to see you there!

I was shocked that there were 14 people dumb enough to come out and shoot this past Sunday.
(Myself included) The conditions were cold and overcast with mild to moderate winds. Did I say
it was cold? In spite of the weather some good scores were shot. So congratulations to the
following shooters High prone shooter was David Knott, High F-open Clint Roberts, High WM
Kim Davis and High F-T/R was William Glasgow. Attached please find the complete results.
Hope to see everybody at the next match, which is scheduled for March 27th and will be a 3x1000.

We are a week out from the first 2016 MidSouth Marksmen 3x1000 (approved) Match. Yes we know its Easter, and figured it would be a great way to celebrate. So if you haven't already made plans, I highly recommend you come out and enjoy the holiday weekend with us and shoot a 3x1000 match. Registration will start at 0:700 and close promptly at 0:830, followed by squading and a safety brief. If you have a portable canopy please bring it, as if the forecast calls for rain we will shoot from the canopies. Hope to see you there and bring a friend.

We are 2 weeks out from the next approved 3x600 match at AEDC. This will be good practice for the
upcoming Mid Range Regional 28/29 May. If you haven't done so, I recommend getting both of these
matches on your shooting schedule. We will be handing out plenty of trophies and medals at the Regional.
Registration starts at 07:00 and closes at 08:30. If you have a canopy, please bring it. As always we will
shoot rain or sunshine. Either way the canopies will be used to keep the rain or sun, off our backs and
