Just talked to Mark and he confirmed that we will shoot from the shade of the pavilion. I have the ammo loaded and ready for a nice day of Fclass and sling both. I enjoy having both on the line together at these matches. My son Sam will be coming along and I am always happy for the opportunity to have my kids along with me. I have only one goal .. Take down Petros and that dasher !! Lol

It just may be a battle for the range record tomorrow ! Light winds and some good men on the line will be a test in the nerve dept. We don't get many days of this but the range record (Open) has been broke twice this year for Fclass, I expect another tomorrow. It calls for a wind switch during the day but these boys are ready for it. Maybe the F T/R will or the open again ,we will see. 99 degrees won't help but shouldn't stop the determined.

I didn't stand a chance , Pete's a machine when he gets rolling. That Jeremy Newell did a fine job also. St.Louis range is always pretty tricky and today was no exception.

The last monlthly is this Thursday Sept 4th. $20 entry includes lunch after the match. These are special matches because they have F-Open ,F-T/R and a F-Bench class for those shooters that prefer bench or cannot shoot prone. Always a great time at these laid back matches where everyone can shoot !

Oops , just found out that the rained out Aug match was rescheduled for Oct -9th . So that will be the last one , I think. Lol

Pete Petros is the substitute match director tomorrow so it's important to ask him lots of questions. Lol Brett is tied up at work so Pete is stepping in for the day. Pete is very capable and always helping at every match so he is a good choice. Should be a nice day for a match, see you on the line.

Remember the next match is October 9th, we are making up the August rain out that day. Also the State Championship is on Sept 27-28th. See you on the line!

OK shooters, the last 2 matches on the list are this week ! Thursday is the awesome monthly Fclass morning match 2x15 with lunch $20. 1st place medals for each class (Open, F-T/R, Bench Open). Saturday is the NRA Midrange 3x20 Fclass and Sling NRA approved match.

Good shootin fellas! I see there was a few 300's. I would of loved to make it, but my old man has been in the hospital for 3 weeks now. When im not at work or home with the family I been at the hospital with him. This is why I missed the big match a few weeks ago too. FYI he is gettin better! Hey Mike is there anymore matches this year? If not, I will see you guys next year! This was my first year competing and it was a blast! I learned a lot. Next year I will be shooting F open with my 6.5-47L and hopefully my dad will be healthy enough to come shoot. I showed him a bunch of pics from the matches and he wants to give it a try. So im gonna have a rifle built for him. Im thinking another 6.5-47L for bench open. See you guys on the line in the near future!

Jerod, glad to hear that your father is recovering! I look forward to meeting him and seeing both of you on the line. The last match is tomorrow and then it's time to sit out another winter. Sound like you have a couple rifles to build young man. Spring will get here quick when you take on such projects. The 300's were quite an achievement by both shooters in the switchy conditions we had.
