2012 Camp Perry Team Matches Prone, F-Class Open, FT/R

Day 1: 2 20-shot 1000 yard individual matches with shootoffs for each. (For each match, the top shooter in each category SR/Palma/Any from each relay, and, I would assume, F/Open and F/TR)
Day 2: 1 20-shot 1000 yard individual match with shootoff and 4-man team 1000 yard match (20 shots per shooter)
Day 3: same as day 2
Day 4: individual Palma match: 15 shots at each of 800, 900, and 1000.
Day 5: Normally the Palma team match, but this year the Americas match.

I have never received a reply either from the e-mail I sent asking about the F matches and registration.

Pretty much given up on it now. Guess I will find someplace else to shoot during August.

I also emailed them over a month ago with no response. The online registration says that it isn't open, but they have an ad in Shooting Sports USA that says to register online. I would like to go, but I'm not sure if its even open to individuals that aren't part of the National F-Class teams. 48 spots isn't very many, so it might have filled up in just a few minutes. If anyone hears something, please post it here.

Thanks,

Ryan

Camp Perry F-Class registration is open. The 48 spots available should fill quickly.

I'm Shooter:5005

It looks like it is already half way full.

F class competitor #5093 here. seems higher than the 48 supposedly allowed, who knows.
I did see the F America's Match requires .308 Win and bullets 156gr or less. Did not expect the bullet weight limit. Eight man teams and at least 4 have to be F tr shooters but all must use .308 Win. Is the way I read the rules. Only one Eight man team per country or club.

I don't see me getting into the Americas match, I can't find 8 F class shooters here, much less 4 TR shooters.

I wonder if they failed to program a cutoff in the registration program and in 48 hours it shot past it x2.

I registered online right after they opened it up, and I signed up to shoot prone/sling as opposed to F-Class. I am shooter #5014. I think they started at 5000 and counted up from there, assigning numbers without distinguishing between rifle classes.

Ah ha, that is good to know.

One of the guys on Snipers Hide signed up with #5001 in F class. It was looking like they had the F guys with the 5000 series because we were the only ones talking about it.

Unless they have drastically altered the rules (and I'm 99.8% sure they haven't), there should be NO bullet weight limit for F-T/R. The 8 man teams for F-Class should be made up of 4 F-T/R shooters, running either .308 or .223, and 4 F-Open shooters running any legal F-Open caliber. The scores for both "squads" are combined to give one "National" score.

Darrell,

I have a couple of calls and emails awaiting return to clearify this for me.

You are correct on the fact they haven't changed Section 22 F-Class Rules, but the way they wrote the Program could be what is reguired, the ole "Match Directors Requirement rule" comes into play.

If it's true then I'll be in St. Louis a few days earlier than planned and skip Perry.

Please do let us know if you hear of any corrections to the F phase of the America's match. (bullet weight, calibers allowed for Ftr and F open)
