2012 Camp Perry Team Matches Prone, F-Class Open, FT/R

America Match rules state that F-Class shooters will follow ICFRA rules. As such, F/Open shooters will NOT be limited to .308 caliber. F/TR rifles will still be limited to .308 or .223. per ICFRA rules.

Please post where appropriate.

It still doesn't answer the 156gr bullet limitation but they are referencing the ICFRA rules so if they are following ICFRA then there isn't one.

***Never mind, wrong paragraph***

May be someone with more knowledge about how the NRA takes applications for the National Matches at Camp Perry can answer my question on this issue. I signed up for the F-class long range matches to be held this year at Perry. I got a conformation reply stating my application had been accepted and that my competitor number was 5105. In addition I saw that my credit card account had been charged the $158.00 fee. I thought that they were only accepting 48 shooters for the F-class portion of the matches, but if my number is 105 why was my application accepted and my credit card charged. Anyone who could clear this up for me would be greatly appreciated.

No corralation between Competator number and the number of shooters that are accepted. That is just a number that they use and may have started with number XXX32 or what ever.
You will pick up your packet at the office on Camp Perry when you get there.

So what days are the F-class competition shot and what format and how many shots per relay?

F-class will be shot along side the LR matches, 11-16 August, with the same course of fire as the sling shooters.

On Saturday (8/11), there are two individual matches: unlimited sighters + 20 for record in each. Then, for the high score for each rifle class on each relay, there's a shoot off for each match. (3 sighters + 10 for record, continuing in blocks of 5 shots in the case of a tie)

On Sunday and Monday, there's an individual match in the morning and a team match following. After the team match, there's the shoot-off from the day's individual match.

Tuesday is the individual Palma match (unlimited and 15 at 800, 2+15 at 900 and 1000), with divisions for Palma, any, service, and F/Class.

Wednesday is the Palma team match, which for this year is the America's match.

With the exception of the Palma individual and team matches (or, this year, the America's match), all the matches (individual and team) are 20 shots for record with individual matches having unlimited sighters and team matches limited to 2.

Do you know for a fact that F-class is allowed in the Palma match on Tuesday ? The program makes no mention of F-class in the palma, just the 20 shot matches.
Thanks
Jeff

Huh, you're right; it's not mentioned.

I can think of two reasons: 1, they forgot. Or two, because of the pop-up targets on the big end, they can't actually fit in the F-class shooters that one day.

I'd check with the NRA, though. I'd be plenty surprised if they didn't allow the F-classers for the Palma individual... but you never know.

I'd heard there was a shortage of space on the 800 line. I'm trying to find out for sure in case they did forget. Need a round count & number of motel days to book. As its written, F-class only shoots four individual matches & two 4-man team matches over 3 days. The only exception is the Americas match for 8 man international teams. There is also no f-class agg. listed for the individuals that I saw.

Good luck to all of the F-class shooters headed up for this weekend's shoot. Please check back in after shooting to give us updates.
