20 PRACTICAL TWIST ?

I was curious about their land and groove diameter but I didn't see it listed on their websites.

I have the parts to build a 20 caliber of some kind. My barrel is a 6 groove.

I dont have a 20 practical, but do have a 204r. Mine is a 12 twist. I have not gone over 35gr bergers. When its time to change it will stay the same or swap to an 11 twist. If i were you I'd decide what you really want to use and go for a good twist for that bullet. If looking for some speed 40s will slow you down a little bit. 32 varmageddons work great also.

I wouldnt worry about the barrel you have, if I order one in a small cal a 3G is my preference
The difference between a 3G and 6G is the land width is gonna be double of the 6 groove

Temperature is another factor in twist rate. When I run the Berger 40 BT in the Berger twist calculator, the 10 twist is fine to 20 degrees(at 3500 fps muzzle) drop to 0 degrees and the 10t enters into a marginal range. Temp is definitely a consideration for me, as the last few winters, I have had many nights of well below zero temps.

^^^^^^ Hmmm, interesting. I believe you but l won't be out at ZERO° F. to verify. Yah, Ima wuss. :)
