20 Practical project

Hello all new guy to the site looking for some advice. I am Building a new Rifle for coyotes and ground hogs. I have decided to go with a 20-223Rem or also known as a 20 Practical for those of you who don't know what that is it is just a 223 rem necked down to 20 cal. Now I need to pick a twist for the barrel I was thinking a 1:11 1:12 twist. I will be shooting 40 gr bullets between 3500-3800 FPS which twist would you guys say would be best for the loads I will be shooting

I have 20 Practical with a 1-12', two 204Ruger with 1-12' and 20BR with a 1-11' twists. If you want to shoot 40gr bullets I would go with a 1-11' twist just to make sure you have a fast enough twist. Some 1-12' won't shoot 40grs very well.

Im building one with a straight taper 0.750' diameter 1:10 twist barrel finished at 25 inches.

I expect the extra spin this twist rate will put on the 39gr blitzking and 40gr nosler ballistic tips will should result in some pretty explosive hits on rabbits and foxes.
