My PacNor experience with a PacNut barrel was great. First barrel swap that I've EVER done. I bought the super match grade stainless ($325), and paid them to chamber it($125). Threaded for PacNut, and cost of nut,($65). Thirty bucks shipping. I had the money saved, and didn't try to scrimp to save a buck.
I did get a great deal on a nut wrench and go/no go gauges on eBay, and had a local smith take my old barrel off. Had to force 20 bucks on him to do it, Jewing him up from ten.
This all seemed pretty expensive to me, but--- everything went together sweet as a peach, and my new rifle is grouping in the two's and three's without much load development or advanced loading technique.
I'm happy as a clam, and would do it again in a heartbeat. jd
