A question for you 20 Practical guys. I bought a Redding type S bushing die and started reducing the necks on some new Lake City brass. The bushing doesn't size all the way down to the neck shoulder junction. I don't have the barrel yet to check, but how is the brass going to chamber if there is a "step" on the neck?
When you neck down the 223 to 20, the junction of the neck to shoulder should move UP slightly. When doing 20's don't screw the cap down all the way on the bushing, let it float 1/2 a thread or so, you'll see the difference. If not, no worries UNLESS you crush the case and mushroom the shoulder, then you'll get tight chambering. If so run it thru a FL die to fix the shoulder.
