20 cal cleaning rod

I make 2 piece rod guides for CZ 452 and 455. The problem with those two is the ejector...the small piece of metal that rises up from the floor plate to bump the back of the shell as it is drawn back by the ejector claws. I believe the 457 has the same ejector. If you look in through the back of the bolt channel you will see that the ejector rises up into the path of the bore.

A standard .22 rod (.202) in a high quality 2 piece guide will not make it past the ejector on a 455/452. Without a guide, you have to bend a standard .22 rod to get by the ejector...definitely a no-no.

Pro Shot, PQP and some other polished .20 rods (.187) will get by it without a guide , but will touch slightly with a good two piece guide so I make them only for .17 rods for 452/455. The Boretech .20 (.180) might clear completely, but since it is coated it will probably not be perfectly uniform for it's entire length; or at least from my experience measuring coated rods, they are not as uniform as polished stainless.

.20 rods work very well with the rest of my rimfires.
