20 BR, Need Load Data

I have finished my 20BR build and ready to start on test loads. I have 40gr V-Maxs, 40gr Ballistic Tips, and 39gr Blitzkings on hand to start with. I have the following powders already on the shelf, that are suitable for the 20BR: BLC-2, IMR-4198, Reloader 7, IMR-3031, Benchmark, and IMR-4064. I am leaning towards starting with BLC-2, because it shoots great in 22BR. I know there are several more powders and bullets out there that shoot well in the 20BR, and I will be trying some AA-2015, Reloader 10, and H335, as well as some 40gr Bergers, in the future.

Of the powders I have on, have any of you 20BR shooters, had any epxeriences with them? If so, what load data and info can you share with me.

Thanks.

Haven't tried anything on your list but I'll share what I have.

Savage action w/Pac-Nor 3 groove 1:12 twist @ 24"

40g Nosler
Lapua brass
28.8g R-10x
Fed GM205M
brass trimmed to 1.530"
.005" jam

*this is what I consider a safe max in my rifle so work up to it! :D

Should be good for 4K fps or close....I haven't chrony'd this exact load but everything in this area was right around the 4K mark. Groups are in the mid .3's without any bedding. I just finished bedding the rifle in hopes to tighten things up. I'm getting a little horizontal but no vertical.

I'm also working on 35g Bergers and benchmark. 32.5g seems to be a sweet spot but I haven't had time to tweak the seating depths.

HEY, my loads for the 20BR are with N135 V V powders. I started with 31 grs. of N135 but the primers looked cratered so I backed of to 30.8 grs. of N135. Mine is Bartlein 1/11 twist and I have used 40gr. V-Max, 40gr. Nos Bal. Tip, and 39gr. Sierra's.
The Sierra's were the most accurate, shooting low .2's.
The blow-up factor goes to the 40gr. Bal. Tip's.
I think your choice of Bench mark & 2015 would be good also!

hi my .20br was 27" pacnor and neck turned and 30 grains of vit n140 that was just under 3990 fps very good load and 40 v max 10 thou off lanc

I am hoping to have mine shooting in the next few weeks. I am going to run 1 in 9 for the 50 grain Bergers.

It looks like N150 will be the powder of choice according to Quickload, around 31.0 grains.
