I would go with the 40’s just to take advantage of what you have. The BR case imho is about as much as you can do with a 20 caliber, or what is needed.
32’s you could easily get speed with lower charges.
I built mine with the sole intention of running nothing but 55’s. It may see some 40’s at some point.

Years ago I built a 20BR 10 twist to shoot 50 grain bullets. Before I finished the rifle Berger discontinued the 50's. It shot 40 vmax real well. 4300+ fps was a mild load. 39 SBK bullets came apart at that velocity so I had to slow them down a little. I never tried 32's. Probably get 4800+ fps if they would hold together. That would be exciting if they were accurate.

No actual experience, but I'll run Quickload for you and maybe that might give you some idea ?
Reduce, Reduce, Reduce, then work up the load.

Yeah I think I'll stick with the 40s , I have quite a few of the 32s just no data on the powder I have alot of but may still try those ones given just to see what happens . I can buy 32s all the time local I'll have to order some 40s . Thanks so much guys for the help

My 20 BR was built with a heavy Lilja when 12 twist was all there was and I used the 40 Berger and the 39 BK with awesome accuracy. My load was 31.0 of N540 right at 3950fps.The 39 BK got me in the 500 yard club pretty easily, glad to see em available again. If I had a 10 twist I’d definitely try the 40 VMax too.Next for me is a 20BRAI 9 twist with 55s.Depending on where you live I be tempted to set your barrel back a thread and chamber for the 20 BRAI and try a few 55s just for fun, if it works great if not you will still have a rifle that does great with the 39 and 40s.PDs and chucks will be in big trouble out past 600 yards.

AA2520 is another powder to not overlook, I found it very similar in burnrate to RL15 testing in my 20PPCAI.
