2,000 round count 6BR-DX target

todays playing around took my 4 groove Krieger 8 twist 6BR-DX over the 2,000 round mark,,I usually just goof off and bang steel and shoot at small bottles of Tannerite and the like,,to mark 2,000 rounds I put 5 rounds on target at 600 and even with the throat stretched a bit it will at least still hold under 2.5 inches,,been a fun barrel and have a Brux getting done with same reamer

105 Scenar
33.3 RL15
BR4

Nice shooting, trying to decide what my next barrel will be chambered in. Have another 1500 rds or so to go before it is a reality.

IDK exact number on freebore but can find out,,,the 105 VLD would just touch at 2.412 coal and the 105 Scenar was at 2.367,,

barrel shot best with either bullet jumped 015-020 and with just about any powder that would get 2960-3020 fps

Whats the freeborn on your reamer for the 105`s???

Phil.

That reamer is a 1.565" chamber length with .138" freebore.

I`m going to take a WILD guess here and figure that you did the chambering on this one..... 8)

I cant see Gordie or anybody spinning up a better shootin barrel than the ones Tim is sending out of his shop in Memphis,,

I am honored you feel this way!!!

I'm another that'll vouch for Tims work. He's done every one of my chambers for this years competition season and will be chambering up a couple more for me for next season.

Thanks James, I'm thrilled to place my work in such experienced hands, and see the fruits of my labor, it's been fun for me.

I can only hope next season is even better. With my mistakes at the beginning of the season and a bad firing pin that left me frustrated I had a very slow and rough start. I hope I can make you even more proud next season. Thanks again for your work and patience.

I would like to give one more nod to Tim's great work. He has done a few barrels for me now and all have shot very well for me. I used a Brux that he chambered in .284 Win this season to shoot a 599-42Xs at a 600 yard match. The Dasher barrel that he chambered for me for MR, I have numerous cleans at 300/600 shooting that barrel and used it last year to win our state's MR championship. I have a couple barrels that he recently chambered for me that I am very anxious to get out and shoot.

Thanks again for your work and your dedication to detail is remarkable.

Wow, you guys sure know how to make my day! I am lucky that Eric, James, and Kyle are very good at making a barrel shoot, thus making my jobs look great. It is your dedication gentlemen that makes a difference. I do sincerely thank you.

I love it when hard work, and meticulousness, get their deserved credit.

Have a great day Tim.

I am gonna start next barrel with 105 VLDs,,if it follows suit with this one and starts shooting the Scenar better after about 1500 rounds I may do the next with about a .185-.190 freebore and try the Scenars from the start,,,they seem to like a lot more jump than possible with the .138,,
with a new barrel throated to keep the 105 Scenar above the donut and have .040-.050 jump just might be the trick to beating the Dasher,,
