1st trip with new AR 6MM ARC at the range.

Ok I'm hoping I can post an image if not I'll rework it and try again.

I had an hour of energy and went to the range, I'm 66 years old Sporting an ostomy bag shooting from a rest.

Rifle is an Aero Precision M4E in 6MM ARC, a bought a complete upper and an Aero Precision lower, an A2 front sight and an aperture real sight, ammo is factory Hornady Black 105 grain.

I hadn't calibrated the sights yet but wanted to see if the rifle had any potential. The image is of 4 shots, 2 sighted and off the plate, 2 more after adjustments at 100 yards. I was out of ammo and will return to calibrate another day. The 2 holes on the plate are 1/2" as demonstrated by the 2 holes on the backing paper near ac /2" spotter sticker. A good rifle shot by a lucky shooter. I guess the rifles will be worth my time.

Not sure what barrel you are running in your, but I'm running an X-Caliber 22" 1in7" twist. I had similar groups with mine on factory 105gr. You might try (if you can find it, then get the loan to buy it) the 108gr Hornady Match. It was shooting a little better then the 105gr in my rifle. Look like you diffidently have a good start going!
I've got some Berger 108gr Match test loads loaded up with CFE223. Just waiting to see how they shoot.

Barrel is a 16" Ballistic Advantage 1 in 7 twist barrel.

Of course, your going to loose some speed, but you totally have the twist for the 108gr! I really like how they shot in mine! Without break in, I was between .75 to .50" groups.
Not sure if you are looking to get better out of your, but I dropped a lot of money in mine and really want to see how well she will do. I did a full LaRue build with mine, less the barrel.
The thing that got me into the 6ARC is that I bought a 6.5 Grendel years ago from Radical Firearms and again, with factory loads, I was in the .75 to .50 area right out of the box. My 6.5 Grendel gas gun now shoots regular .50 or better groups. I know the round can do it, only if I can do my part! Bullet, powder, primer, setup, and skill are all they need to shine. I'm a bolt guy by heart, but these little Grendel size AR's have got me hooked.

I wanted an accurate man or beast (general purpose) rifle the could rapid fire in close like an M4, take deer at 200 yards and reach out to 600 yards with more authority than a 5.56 NATO.

This was bought from Brownell and I spent a few more bucks for a decent trigger. The complete upper was $750 and if I remember the rest of the parts, an A2 front sight, a collapsing rear sight, an Aero Precision lower, the buffer, fire control, stock, two five round, two 24 round mags and a brass catcher brought the total in around $1300.

The ammo, as starting brass, bulletts, dies, primers and 2 pounds of powder was about 1/3 the cost of the rifle.

Recoil was exceptionally low, my Colt AR 15 A2 in 5.56 has a minimum of recoil but it is more snappy and it has a noisy buffer but the new one is nearly silent.

I have to calibrate the iron sights, decide on a sling and add a 1 x 4 scope with a single latch detachable mount. I guess that's another $900 but I have achieved the goal of a good platform for a working rifle in an AR platform at 52,000 PSI.

Bought a Creedmoor barrel from one of those outfits that has really big sales from time to time, in spite of warnings from others with previous experience.

What I got was a chamber that way out of spec. .200 datum exceeded SAAMI MAXIMUM by MORE THAN .004in. Had to chop .700in off and re-chamber to bring back into spec. This was my first and last experience with "bargain barrels". Your experience may be different.

Sounds to me, that you have a nice little setup that will do everything you want it to do! Tone her up a little bit with some load testing and you will be all set!

Wow, that's bad, really bad!
I'm working on my 5th barrel from X-Caliber and all but the 6 ARC have been Savage Prefits. My experience with them has been 100% with all regularly shooting .5" groups or better. Now, they are not my proof research 6mm Creedmoor that is in the .2s, but they do shoot really well.
I'm pretty sure I would have sent that barrel back with one nasty note in the box!
How did it end up shooting after the rechamber?

Sent cutoff section back for measurement. No response.
