1960's gunsmith from Walnutport Pa.

Lightload,
My father had a rifle built by Mr. Conlin (correct spelling). His shop was Located in Schukill County, Pa.
Regards,
Ken
I have a smith and Wesson 38 revolver , practical police combat , ppc , with conlin stamped on the side , custom barrel , shoots great , bought from a guy named Neven hontz in lehighton pa , pretty sure this is the same fella.

A little late to the conversation, but... I remember there was a smith in Slatington on Main St just across the bridge from Walnutport. The shop sat empty & dark for a number of years. It's had a face lift & reopened as something else long ago. I left PA in 2004. There was also a guy just across the 873 bridge from 145 at the Lehigh Gap. My father in law had one of his 1000 yd rifles. It was a Mauser in 7mmRemMag with a huge laminated stock. Probably weighed around 30 pounds. Names are long purged from memory.

I remember Was Den in Northampton too. Was in his shop right before it closed. Not much left at the time. Thinking the guy from Toonerville-Smilin' Bob-bought out the remains of his stuff.
