1911 frame for Nelson

Needing to get a complete frame built for a Nelson conversion kit. (1911) Anyone specialize in these builds or the go to guy.

It seems like builders take forever to put one together. If you are willing to spend the money to have one built, why not just buy a whole budget 1911 and store the slide and barrel away. Or, if you want to save time, just buy a good frame like a Caspian from a supplier, all the parts, put in a cassette trigger from Nighthawk Custom ($299 https://nighthawkcustom.com/drop-in-trigger-system-2534 ) and you will save a lot of time. Just make sure you get a grip safety that does not require fitting.

I’ve built a couple using a Caspian frame and an Essex frame. Both required a lot of fitting of parts.

2 Nelsons. Have 1 on a Caspian & 1 on a Citadel. The Caspian took more fitting. They both had Marvel unit 1's prior to the Nelsons.
