1885 win.& the military

I am interested in shooting a military cast bullet match and would like to know if anyone knows if the 1885 win . was ever used by any military branch, even if it was a target match team.

The easy answer is the Winder Musket training rifle. 22 rimfire.

The harder one to find are a few chambered in 30-06 rimmed made specifically for the 1913 Palma match, First Camp Perry Match, and some international matches.
