17 hmr- will it outshoot 22lr at 50m?

lf you like something different, there's a new to me RIMFIRE GAME in town near Hotlanta

lt's in Gainesville Ga. ALL rimfires are welcome, l hear. Steel silhouette targets @75M/chicken. @112M/pig. @144M/turkey. @189M/goat. All shot from a bench.

The local shooters of this rimfire match tell me you will need a 20moa base for your scope or a .019'' shim under the rear of your scope due to the drop in a standard velocity 22rf for
208yd rams.

The targets are 3/8 scale steel IHMSA Field Pistol targets.

Match is third SAT of the month. See ya

I should have stopped reading after this statement...... "but I also know for a fact that 17 hmr can legit compete head to head vs $5000 custom built two two rimfires in same weight class"
LOL

Brad

.. the match grade 22 stuff comes off the same production lines as the non-match grade stuff .. all they do is QA/QC sampling and whatever tests best on a given day goes in the highest priced box, it is not made differently ..
You might want to do some real homework on how match grade .22 LR is manufactured.

As you also called out ARA and IR5050 regarding their "prejudicial resistance [against the 17HMR]" I wouldn't hold my breath for them to make any effort for inclusion. Insults and accusations get you nowhere.

If the 17HMR is that great, start your league.

I don't have a dog in the fight either way as I don't shoot BR nor the 17HMR.
